Take that with your flat

April 30, 2009

Flats are back with a flash. Ok, ok, so a girl has to kick up her heels every once in a while with some height but sometimes a heel needs a break. For instance, I was flying from Seattle to Brazil to work on the Spring 10 collection, and yes, my feet needed something stylish yet comfortable so the Flat Beas came in handy.
On another note, as you know, when Oprah talks, people listen. I was just perusing the latest May issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, on the flight, low and behold she had some flat-spectacular shoes lined up that made me hark back to being in a candy store. I didn’t know what to pick. A girl can go nuts from a low-end pair to a high-end pair. Which is why of course we have created the flat that takes it a step further. You need sexy in your flat. A little toe cleavage and a good fitting sole that says “shape” not just flat for the sake of being flat.
Now that I am back in Brazil checking on the collection, the flat Beas are perfect walking shoes for strolling the streets and make for a good working girl shoe. Have you seen what is in store for Fall – flats galore!
You heard it here first.

A Place in the Sun

April 22, 2009

New Yorkers got spoiled this past weekend with gorgeous sun and perfect temperatures. So, like many New Yorkers, I packed my bags and headed to Long Island for a much deserved weekend in the sun. And, what better way to enjoy this little piece of heaven than walking around with my flat BEA! They went everywhere, from the beach to dinner, from Wineries to Main Street. Nothing better than a pair of bows to embellish a great weekend at the beach! – Juliana – dsc041763

Since the fifth century, when a Chinese poet wrote of a hidden utopia for faithful Buddhists, the human kind have fantasized about those magical places where people live long lives in health and harmony—and adventurers have sought to find them. One of those places is the mythical paradise of Shangri-la.
As many of us don’t have the opportunity to travel to such remote places in search of wonderful new discoveries, National Geographic Live presents a series of inspirational speeches in its Seattle Series, proudly co-sponsored by Carolina Pagano, with a special appearance of designer Carolina Sadowski.
So, if you are in Seattle, put on a pair of our Sandal Constanza in Ruby Red (keeping up with the Nepalese colors!!!!), head up to the Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall tonight (7.30 P.M), and let yourself be carried away by the stories told by Peter Athans, a Himalayan Mountaineer who explored the sites of a remote Nepalese kingdom that may once have inspired the legends of Shangri-la!

Girls Best Friends

April 9, 2009

No, we are not talking about Diamonds just yet, but leave to the Canadians to put together some of girls best friends: flowers, bubbles and shoes!
We are very proud to announce that we were invited to participate in one of Canada’s most prestigious events, the Canadian Tulip Festival. This year, the festival is hosting a special section called International Shoes and Champagne in support of Soles4Souls, a charity that provides footwear for children and their families around the world. Carolina Pagano will be presenting our upcoming Fall Collection (below is an exclusive sneak peak) to International Buyers and Press, as well as donating a pair of shoes for a silent auction benefiting Soles4Souls. Doing good never looked so good!

Take a Bow

The calendar says it is spring in the North Hemisphere, but the New York weather doesn’t seem to agree with that just yet. So while the temperature is slowly raising, and we still need to take our coats out of the closet most mornings, I look forward to those wonderful Spring evenings, when all you need is a light jacket and a perfect pair of flats.
Going through the May magazines in search of inspiration, I had a really joyful surprise when I opened Lucky Magazine and found the fashion editors suggesting what is, in my opinion, the perfect spring outfit: a great jacket + crisp jeans + ballet flats. Lucky suggested bow flats, and may I dare go further and say that THE flat to have this Spring is Carolina Pagano’s BEA with oversized bow. Top model Carolina Bittencourt already owns one, and so does Fashion Designer Ana Lerario (of Lerario Beatriz).
With that in mind, I can’t wait for the weather channel to announce at least 65 degrees, so I can grab my black BEA with oversized linen bow, sit in one of many New York charming restaurant terraces and enjoy a fresh glass of Rose wine. With my feet fashionably adorned, of course!!!
